Meet the Dietician
Carol Plotkin is a registered dietitian. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University, where she received both her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees. She worked in several hospitals in the Washington, DC area from 1991-1995, including George Washington University Hospital. She helped to direct the training of other nutrition professionals through the Marriott Dietetic Internship Program in the National Capital area, and has done extensive nutrition counseling for weight loss, diabetes, kidney disease, high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Since moving to the Rochester, NY area she has taught community classes to help others learn how to shop for healthier food choices, cook with whole foods, and include antioxidant-rich foods in their diets. Her emphasis is on wellness, disease prevention, and overall physical fitness. She is an active member of the American Dietetic Association, and is an American College of Sports Medicine certified fitness instructor.
